Fantastical, Historical Autumnal LGBTQ Providence Wedding

I’ve been waiting with bated breath for Marlowe (they/them) and Rae’s (he/him) wedding day. Ever since meeting them at their enchanted forest tea party engagement session, I knew this would be something absolutely spectacular. These two have been working tirelessly to create an experience for themselves and their guests that would be unforgettable, beautiful, drenched in detail, and fantastical in nature. Marlowe and Rae both designed their ensembles, as well as made them by hand. Their first look was drenched in sunlight through the trees by a fountain, where they could both enjoy the fruits of their labor coming together beautifully.

The wedding took place at the Lippitt House Museum, described on their website as “Providence's premiere Victorian house museum capturing the brillance of Victorian design and representing a time in Providence's industrial history.” The staff was passionate and knowledgable about the space, and extremely accommodating. Shoutout to them! it definitely takes a certain kind of couple to book this space, I think; a couple with a reverence towards history and a respect for the preservation of these spaces. Rae and Marlowe blended in perfectly, as did every aspect of their celebration: the signage, hand-done by Marlowe; the table settings, designed and curated by Marlowe and Rae and assembled by their attendants; the absolutely unforgettable florals crafted by Four Buds Floral Studio (seriously, they were completely breathtaking); and the gorgeous cake by Sin City Bakery.

Marlowe and Rae’s wedding was an intimate celebration of harmonious partnership and shared passions - and most of all, queer joy. I was so honored to be chosen as a part of this carefully curated day to capture their love and art. Thank you, Rae and Marlowe!
